Tornado of Terror

Oooh it's been a while! So my son Jake came home recently and informed me he has a class project to build a tornado, the first project since starting 5th grade-you know where homework and work assignments become more demanding. A part of me groaned to think of school projects but then I perked up at the words: miniature scene. You know me. This is what we came up with.

Even the raccoons are freaking out

We had fun making the trees. Jake insisted on some of his lego men being part of the scene. I really loved the idea. Everyday I anxiously asked him 'what grade did you get?' He'd say 'I don't know yet but the other kids really like it, they said it was the best.'

Today he brought it back home and announced he got an A. I was very excited until he informed me of a new project: A book report on Spain. Ugh!

p.s. thank you for visiting my blog and leaving your inspiring comments!

Love those racoons - not surprised the other kids loved it and that it was a great hit with the teacher too obviously.

It looks like I've been missing out on receiving notification of your posts for quite a while - there's been a good bit going on here that I haven't seen!
